Friendzone
Friendzone is an end credit sequence for an animated film that features a 12-year-old girl struggling to be seen as mature. After an unusual night, she is mortified that her childhood imaginary friends have seemingly come alive and are eager to spend time with her. The end credit sequence calls back to the film's main characters and the girl's desperate attempts to escape her old companions. The flat graphics, animated personality, and soundtrack communicate the light-hearted, comedic nature of this family friendly film.

process
I created a narrative approach considering elements such as the storyline, typography, color combination, and transitions. Sketches helped uncover a storyboard and style frame for the sequence, and typography studies led to integrated type throughout the scenes. Carefully considering transitions while storyboarding allowed for fluid connectivity in the final animation.
